Up for sale is my AMC 401 V8. I bought with hopes of installing it in an old jeep that ended up selling when I got laid off, now the engine has been just sitting in my garage taking up space. Here are the details.

Block came out of a j2000 pickup
Bored .040" over
New cam bearings and freeze plugs
Block has been hot tanked and re painted the correct AMC blue metallic
Crankshaft has been inspected and shaved .020"
New main and rod bearings.
New .040" pistons and rings
Cylinder heads are high compression dog leg heads from a 1970 AMX.
Heads have been ported and polished
Has 11/32" valve guides
2.100 intake and 1.700 exhaust valves
New valve springs and retainers
Comp cams roller rockers
Edlebrock intake
Chrome valve covers
All new engine hardware and gasket sets
New water and fuel pump

The Suzuki Grand Vitara has had a mild nip and tuck to give it a bit of a facelift for 2013. On sale from December and priced from £15,595. Sadly, the modest changes Suzuki has wrought for the 2013 Grand Vitara are unlikely to turn buyers back on to the Grand Vitara, even if they do freshen things up a bit.

The Mazda Kiyora Concept will be at the Tokyo Motor Show in October The Mazda SKY-G is a new direct injection petrol engine and the Mazda SKY-D is Mazda’s new, clean diesel. They are shown off in a display featuring “Technologies for Today, Tomorrow and The Future”, together with Mazda’s new Mazda SKY Drive high-efficiency automatic transmissions. These new technologies are expected to bring Mazda’s corporate average fuel economy down by 30% in the next five years.

General Motors board delays decision on favored Opel bidder

General Motors Co.'s new board of directors made no recommendation in favor of one of the two rival bidders for Opel, the company said on Tuesday. The board has been updated on the Opel sale process but because talks are continuing with Magna International and Belgian investment company RHJ International, no recommendation has been made, GM said in a brief statement. GM's new board of directors was expected to choose one of the two bidders at a meeting on Monday evening.
