A COUPLE OF THESE RARE, HARD TO FIND ENGINES HAVE SOLD LATELY-BUT I THINK THIS ONE WILL BE THE BEST YET. BECAUSE IT IS STILL IN IT'S ORIGINAL 1976 J20 PICKUP, AND I CAN FIRE IT UP, AND DRIVE IT WITH EASE RIGHT NOW! MY INTENT HERE IS TO MAKE A SHORT VIDEO OF THE ENGINE COLD STARTING, AND THEN DRIVING BRIEFLY, AND THEN I WILL POST THE LINK TO THE LISTING.

THE ENGINE WILL SWIFTLY BE REMOVED FROM THE TRUCK AS COMPLETE AS POSSIBLE UPON BEING PURCHASED, THIS WILL ONLY TAKE US HOURS. WE WILL CUT EXHAUST, UNBOLT FROM TRANNY & MOUNTS, UNPLUG OR CUT WIRES FAVORING THE ENGINE, ETC.). WE WILL THEN LIFT IT OUT, DRAIN IT OF ALL FLUIDS, AND THEN PROFESSIONALLY CRATE THE ENGINE- SO THAT IT WOULD NEARLY BE IMPOSSIBLE TO DAMAGE IN ANY WAY. THE POWER STEERING SETUP, ALTERNATOR AND BRACKETS, INTAKE AND CARB, WILL ALL BE INCLUDED-IT WILL EVEN STILL HAVE IT'S BELTS ON IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. IT WILL BE A COMPLETE ENGINE AS STATED!

NOW, MY BELIEF IS THAT THIS ENGINE IS ALL ORIGINAL ON THE INSIDE, AND IF IT WERE ME-I WOULD AT LEAST DO THE TOP END WHILE IT'S NOT IN A VEHICLE, IF NOT DO A COMPLETE REBUILD (I'M DOING ONE FOR MY 79 J10 RIGHT NOW)-BUT IT IS INDEED IN GOOD ENOUGH SHAPE TO PUT IT TO WORK STRAIGHT AWAY.

401'S ARE AWESOME ENGINES IN MY OPINION, WITH ONLY A FEW (EASY TO WORK AROUND) SHORT FALLS-AND IF TREATED RIGHT, AND MAINTENANCED NORMALLY-THIS ENGINE COULD LAST TWO MORE LIFETIMES WITHOUT MUCH TROUBLE!

Mini at the Salone del Mobile, Milan

Mini is using this year's Salone del Mobile in Milan to showcase its 'flair for design.' As with previous years, Mini will be using sites at Milan's Università degli Studi and the Triennale Design Museum for its installations that highlight the brand's 'Creative Use of Space' philosophy. The running theme between the two works is the progression of the brand, from its roots, through to the future of mobility. The Università degli Studi instillation is entitled 'Mini Sintesi' and was initiated by Italian design magazine INTERNI under the watchful eye of Gilda Bojardi.

2013 Mazda3 MPS & revised Mazda 3 range prices

Mazda has revealed the 2013 Mazda3 MPS hot hatch and announced it is adding the Tamura and Venture to the standard range. The 2013 Mazda3 MPS gets some small titivations (although you do need to look quite hard – there’s even fewer changes than the regular 2012 Mazda3) with some new tail light graphics, a new gunmetal finish for the 18″ alloys and a black Mica finish for the trim at the bottom of the back bumper, door mirrors and inner roof spoiler. Fortunately, Mazda has kept the peppy 2.3 litre turbo petrol that offers 256bhp and can scuttle the little Mazda to 62mph in 6.1 seconds.

GM sued for not recalling nonpolice Chevrolet Impalas to fix spindle rods

General Motors has been sued by the owner of a Chevrolet Impala who claims the company recalled police versions of the sedan to fix a tire-wear issue but did not recall civilian Impalas for the same problem. According to the suit, filed in Detroit, GM issued a recall for police Impalas in 2008 for faulty spindle rods, which misaligned the rear wheels and led to premature tire wear. GM told dealers to replace the spindle rods, realign the rear wheels and replace the tires.
