this is an Amercian bosch magneto, 4 cylinder.  Yes, it is hot!  Magnets have been charged, coil and condenser checked, points set, lubricated, ready to go.  It is clockwise (right hand) rotation with an advance set up.  It does not have an impulse, but is set up for one.  I had a video showing a 1/4 " spark on all 4, but couldn't figure out how to get it on the listing.  Questions, let me know.

CPP buys Bowler Offroad

Fri, 11 Mar 2011

Bowler Nemesis - Now made - and owned - by CPP Goodness, CPP Manufacturing are busy little bees at the moment. No sooner do we learn that CPP has bought Spyker Cars (well, strictly speaking it’s CPP Global Holdings Ltd who are hoovering up with Vladimir Antonov’s money) than we discover CPP has also acquired Bowler Offroad. For the uninitiated, Bowler are the makers of bonkers offroad vehicles that can probably be best described as Land Rover Supercars.

We’ll have more detail later today (we expect) on exactly what Land Rover has achieved with the new Range Rover, especially the effect the huge weight loss has had on the performance of the 4.4 litre V8 diesel, the 5.0 litre Supercharged petrol and the new 3.0 litre diesel. But ahead of those crucial details on the Range Rover we’ve got some D roll footage of the Range Rover which shows us far more than we’ve had so far.

Lotus Hybrid – the Lotus Evora 414E – at Geneva

Thu, 25 Feb 2010

The only photo we have of the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid Last year we reported on a range extender engine developed by Lotus for use in hybrid cars. The range extender engine was part of a joint project between Lotus, Jaguar, MIRA and Caparo in conjunction with the Technology Strategy Board and was designed to provide charge – rather than drive – for hybrid cars. A solution that seems far more elegant than the current Prius-type setups.
