BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe in the flesh: Geneva Motor Show
Fri, 07 Mar 2014The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe lands in Geneva The big news from BMW at the Geneva Motor Show has been the arrival of the production version of the new X4, rather overshadowing the European debut of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. Which is a shame. It’s a shame because the 4 Series Gran Coupe is a very good looking car – as is its big brother, the 6 Series Gran Coupe – even if we struggle to see how BMW are going to manage to differentiate it sufficiently from the new 3 Series saloon.
Jaguar XJ 3.0 TDV6 Long Term Test (2010): The Intro
Sun, 31 Oct 2010Our long-term XJ joins last week's review car - the XF S We moaned about the tease that was the introduction to the new Jaguar XJ, but we dutifully went off to the press launch at the Saatchi Gallery in July 2009 and declared the design a triumph. But by the end of May 2010 the first press cars started to arrive and the first customer cars escaped in to the wild.
McLaren announces official P1 performance figures (2013)
Mon, 21 Oct 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 21 October 2013 14:00 McLaren has finally finished throat-clearing about the P1 supercar, and announced official, confirmed performance figures for the £866,000 hyper-hybrid. No more ‘approximately’ this and ‘sub’ that: here’s the complete list of top trumps. • 0-62mph (100km/h): 2.8sec – the same as a Nissan GT-R, 0.1sec faster than a Lamborghini Aventador, and 0.4sec faster than the original McLaren F1.• 0-124mph (200km/h): 6.8sec – faster than CAR’s long-term Subaru BRZ coupe hits 62mph.• 0-186mph (300km/h): 15.6sec – 5.5sec faster than a McLaren F1.
