APR Performance Brake Cooling Ducts Subaru STI (only) 2008-2010
The APR Brake Cooling Ducts are aerodynamically-optimized to "funnel in" massive amounts of air. Also known as the venturi effect, when the vehicle speed increases, this funneled-in air increases in both pressure and velocity as it passes from the larger frontal area into the smaller pipe section of the brake duct. When matched with appropriate high-temperature air duct hoses (not included - purchase hoses from your favorite racing-supply shop), the APR Brake Cooling Ducts will help to channel in large volumes of fresh air to help cool down red-hot brake rotors lap after lap on the track.
Excessive heat can cause major and expensive damage to critical components in a car. Engine bays, radiators, brakes, transmissions, and differentials all need good air flow to help transfer away unwanted heat. APR Air Ducts help bring fresh cooling air to different areas that need additional cooling. Built using pre-preg. carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite materials for superior strength-to-weight ratio, APR Air Ducts add both function and "lightness" where it counts.
Features:
Carbon Fiber Construction This component is formed in the autoclave at high temperatures using pre-pregnated carbon fiber manufacturing processes, for high strength and low weight.
UV Resistant Coating Each Air Duct is finished with UV-resistant clear-coat paint for resistance against various environmental conditions (take care of this as you would take care of your vehicle's paint finish - polish then coat with good-quality wax or synthetic protectant).

Honda surprised everyone by unveiling this radical fuel-cell supercar concept at the LA Auto Show. The FC Sport is a three-seater sports car using the same tech as the FCX Clarity production fuel-cell – Honda calls it 'a glimpse at how supercars of the future may look'. Why is this significant?
Cars 2, which opens on Friday, stands to be one of the top box-office hits of the summer. Many of our favorite characters are back, such as Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater, but there are also a bunch of new rides rolling onto the big screen. Some, like Grem the Gremlin and Acer the Pacer, take obvious inspiration from real cars.
It's the season of the hill climb, those few months of the year when even the tallest mountains shed their snowcaps and open up for all manner of driver and race car. There's the Spectre 341 Challenge in Nevada, Pikes Peak in Colorado and the Mt. Washington Hill Climb in New Hampshire, which just had its 13-year-old record smashed by Subaru Rally Team driver David Higgins.
