Renault Zoe EV (pictured) battery lease dropes to £45 a month The Renault ZOE eEV is one of the most affordable electric cars in the UK, with prices from £13,345 (after tax-payer bribe) plus a monthly cost for leasing the batteries from Renault. A bit like buying an ICE car and paying a monthly lease for the engine. But despite the Zoe’s ‘affordable EV’ tag, Renault has not had overwhelming success with the Zoe in the UK since it arrived last year, so they’ve come up with some new incentives to get car buyers to opt for their electric supermini.

Universal praise for its styling wasn’t the immediate reaction, but it is a bit of a grower – apart from perhaps the Monkfish mouth. If ever a concept car was just a thinly disguised production car, this is it – this is the Ford B-Max, just unveiled on the eve of the 2011 Geneva motor show. That’s right, and when the B-Max goes on sale in early 2012 it’ll finally be time to bid goodbye to the bland Fusion. On the outside the styling is the latest iteration of Ford’s ‘kinetic design’ DNA, and mixes S-Max, C-Max, Focus and Fiesta elements to create a decent looking little MPV.
