Citroen C3 1.4VTi Review & Road Test (2010) Part 2
Fri, 25 Jun 2010Part 2 of our Citroen C3 Review The 1.4 VTi is not necessarily the best engine for the C3, but it is nice for a change to have a petrol engine in a small car. You get used to the almost on/off nature of driving a small, turbo diesel that it’s rather nice to get a petrol engine with more linear power and a more fluid note for a change. But 95bhp is not quite enough for really flying along – even in a compact-sized car – but it’s enough to propel the C3 around town quite adequately.
Ford testing self-parking cars – with or without a driver (video)
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ford testing self-parking cars – with or without a driver It seems we’re heading to the point where cars can do more and more for the driver, and fully autonomous cars seem to be less than a decade away. On the way to the fully autonomous car, car makers will be offering stages on the way as the ability of cars to be self-controlling moves along, and Ford are heading in that direction with their new systems for parking and obstacle avoidance. Ford are running prototypes with Fully Assisted Parking, a system that manages to sense a space, control the steering, gearbox and brakes to park the car at the touch of a button, even if the driver isn’t actually in the car.
Nissan Murano Diesel – finally
Tue, 16 Mar 2010The Nissan Murano is to get a diesel option from September The Nissan Murano is the Qashqai’s big brother, just as the soon to arrive Nissan Juke is the baby. But the Murano often tends to get overlooked because it seems like it doesn’t really belong in Europe. It feels – and looks – a bit like a Crossover designed for the US with its blingy looks and petrol only V6 (from the old 350Z).
