Chevy reveals 45th-anniversary special edition, and more power, for the Camaro

Chevrolet has let slip some of the details on the 2012 Camaro. Highlights for the sports car include a few more horsepower from the V6, a new suspension package for the SS and a 45th anniversary special edition Camaro that will go on sale to celebrate the pony car's entrance into old age. The direct-injection V6, which sees duty in everything from the Cadillac CTS to the Malibu and a few crossovers, will deliver 323 hp in this application.

It's the 20th anniversary of Top Gear -- the magazine anyway -- and as it celebrates its 20th anniversary, the magazine has copped to the destruction of the Mazda Furai concept, which caught on fire while in its possession an unspecified length of time ago. "The 20th anniversary collectors" edition of BBC Top Gear magazine…reveals a host of until-now untold secrets," says a statement from the magazine's publisher, "including the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of Mazda's astonishing Furai concept (hint: it involves the East Anglia fire service)." Peugeot are taking the 2008 Compact Crossover to the Paris Motor Show previewing the forthcoming small SUV based on the 208. Peugeot may have suffered the ignominy of being dumped from France’s elite stock market listings, but that isn’t going to stop the French car maker making something of a show on their home turf at the Paris Motor Show this month. We’ve already confirmed that Peugeot are taking the production versions of the new 208 GTi and 208 XY to Paris, and they are also taking the hybrid supercar Peugeot Onyx Concept.
