DESCRIPTION: Art deco speed boat racing trophy in black bakelite with brass sections. No info on brass plate. Outboard speedboat trophy top is 5 3/4" long. Trophy stands 16 3/4" tall overall and base is 5 3/4" across and weighs 3 pounds and is in excellent condition. I am listing quite a few speedboat trophies with buy it now prices and will consider reasonable offers. Can combine sales to save you shipping costs. EyesOn Design Awards 2014 presented in Detroit
Wed, 15 Jan 2014The winners of the EyesOn Design Awards have been announced in COBO Hall at the end of the second press day of the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. More than 30 competition judges, who are active or retired heads of design at automotive manufacturers and chairs of transportation design education programs, declared the Ford Mustang the ‘Best Production Car'. The 2015 model, relaunched in time for the model's upcoming 50-year anniversary, is instantly recognizable as a Mustang, retaining similar proportions to the outgoing model but with a more sculpted and sophisticated silhouette.
Lincoln C concept
Sun, 18 Jan 2009Ford's luxury division revealed a surprise new concept at the 2009 NAIAS: the C-segment, six-passenger Lincoln C design study, aimed at upscale urban consumers. According to Freeman Thomas, director of Ford's Strategic Concepts Group where the concept was created, "the Lincoln C is about efficiency without compromise". The exterior design was concieved by David Woodhouse and Jeremy Leng, and the interior by Andrei Markevich and Matt Edwards.
Toyota to pay $32.4 million U.S. fine over timing of recalls
Tue, 21 Dec 2010Toyota Motor Corp. agreed on Monday to pay two more safety fines for a total of $32.4 million, the maximum allowable under U.S. law, to settle federal investigations of whether the company notified regulators of safety defects in timely fashion.
