Aston Martin Db2/4 2.9l Head Gasket Solid Copper Cometic David Brown Lagonda on 2040-parts.com

When we originally had Cometic make our composition head gaskets there was a miscommunication and they made them out of solid copper. The original head gaskets on these cars were a multi-layer copper. Perhaps you could use this solid copper type as a spacer along with a composition gasket if you needed to lower your compression ratio. Or maybe you could use them on race engines that get torn down between races as you could reuse the solid gasket. Or maybe they would work just fine in place of a standard gasket! This one fits Aston Martin DB2/4 and David Brown Lagonda with the 2.9L engines. We also have all of the individual engine gaskets for these vehicles in stock so we can build you a complete head gasket set if needed. Please see our eBay store as we also have this gasket for the earlier 2.6L and later DBA engines.

Fisker Karma recalled over fire risk
Sun, 19 Aug 2012The Fisker Karma range-extender EV is being recalled over a fire risk from a faulty cooling fan. We’re not sure how many Fisker Karmas there are in the UK (well, there should be at least one), but so far it appears that there are a surprising 1,900 in the wild. Now those 1,900 (or 2,400 if you count all the Karamas built and heading for customers) are to be recalled after fire destroyed two Karmas in the US.
Porsche shows Cayenne can do off-road – just like the new Range Rover Sport
Fri, 14 Jun 2013Porsche shows the new Cayenne S Diesel can do off-road The Porsche Cayenne has come in for some stick since it first arrived a decade ago as the first SUV from Porsche. The world declared the Cayenne too ugly to look at – well, that was the opinion of a certain Mr Clarkson – but anyone who’s lived with a Cayenne will know just how focused it is; it feels like a high-riding M5 to drive and, despite the misconception that sporty SUVs don’t do off-road, it’s remarkably capable when the going gets tough. We’re sure it’s just a coincidence that the 2013 Porsche Performance Drive – from Chisinau to Bratislava – is taking place just after the new Range Rover Sport arrived as a truly capable sporty SUV – with its Land Rover off-road credentials still intact – but the event has given Porsche the chance to show the new Cayenne S Diesel can also do off-road with aplomb.

Tue, 15 May 2012The only Ferrari Motorbike in the world sells for £85k The only Ferrari motorcycle ever made – as a tribute to Enzo Ferrari – has sold at auction for £85,000. Ferrari don’t make motorbikes, and Cars UK don’t really do motorbikes either. But when the only motorbike ever to wear a Ferrari badge goes up for sale we had to take notice.
