When we originally had Cometic make our composition head gaskets there was a miscommunication and they made them out of solid copper.  The original head gaskets on these cars were a multi-layer copper.  Perhaps you could use this solid copper type as a spacer along with a composition gasket if you needed to lower your compression ratio.  Or maybe you could use them on race engines that get torn down between races as you could reuse the solid gasket.  Or maybe they would work just fine in place of a standard gasket!  This one fits Aston Martin DB2 and DB2/4 and David Brown Lagonda with the 2.6L engines.   We also have all of the individual engine gaskets for these vehicles in stock so we can build you a complete head gasket set if needed. Please see our eBay store as we also have this gasket for the later 2.9L and DBA engines.

Concept Car of the Week: Pininfarina CNR-PF (1978)

In the 1970s alarm bells were ringing in the energy sector as a series of energy crises and rising fuel prices spiralled. Some pushed the limits further than others and none more so than Pininfarina, which designed a car that slipped through the air twice as efficiently than any other.

Producer Harry Pallenberg is almost done with his historical race track DVD “Where They Raced,” which ghost-hunts all the great race tracks of Southern California, from Beverly Hills board tracks, to Gilmore Stadium to Ascot and Lions drag strip. It should be pretty good when it's done, but it's not done yet. “I am having some issues clearing some of the footage,” Pallenberg said.
