This week, away from the glitz and glamour of both the Shanghai and New York International Auto Shows, will be the 2011 Commercial Vehicle Show held in Birmingham, UK. Nether the less, Ford has taken the opportunity to use the show to launch the all-new Ranger truck. The Yaris HSD, as presented in Geneva, previews Toyota's intentions of bringing Hybrid technology to the B-Segment, as well as Toyota's full hybrid roll out across all models in its range. Retaining the familiar Yaris outwardly appearance (and previewing the next generation Yaris) the HSD is interspersed with ‘Hybrid' cues, to intimate at the hybrid powertrain beneath the body. From the pearl white paint to the light blue hue that illuminates certain aspects, there is an underlying emphasis on the fact that this car is a hybrid.

Ferrari and watchmaker Hublot ink long-term deal

Saturday under cloudy Florentine skies, Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot S.A., arrived at Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, the practice track for Scuderia Ferrari, to make an announcement bright with promise: For the third time since its founding, Ferrari will enter into a long-term timepiece collaboration, this go-around with Hublot. The freshly inked five-year partnership technically commences in January, but both Montezemolo and Biver were almost giddy of Saturday's announcement and indicated that prototypes were under way. Officially Hublot will be the “watch and timekeeper of Ferrari,” as well as the “timekeeper of Scuderia Ferrari,” the company's racing arm.
