Spy photos might not satisfy our craving for detailed specifications on the sleek roadster—we won't know much more until the car debuts at the 2012 Paris motor show—but they have convinced us that the new Jaguar will be pleasing to the eye. Jag Land Rover factory closure ‘already decided'

The car making group, which manufactures around 250,000 cars a year, operates out of three UK sites: Castle Bromwich and Solihull near Birmingham, and Halewood near Liverpool. Those sorts of volumes are more normally associated with a single factory or, at a push, two.

And the latest indication of that new direction is the very warm super saloon that is the Lexus LS TMG Edition, spotted lurking in a garage near the Nurburgring in between runs round the ‘Ring. The LS TMG Edition apparently sports a 5.0 litre V8 with 641bhp and 524lb/ft of torque, which will be enough to hit a 4.0 second 0-60mph and a top speed of around 200mph.
