Audi A1 S-Line Revealed

Sat, 06 Mar 2010

The Audi A1 S-Line - the Sporty A1 S-Line package gets revealed Having had a little moan earlier that the Audi A1 overshadowed the debut of the RS5, we have to confess that we are finding the A1 a tempting ‘Only Premium Car in its Class‘, mini-bashing Audi. We’re more than a little impressed with the A1 e-tron but the A1 range as a whole does look like it will offer the best competition yet to the market-dominating MINI. Audi has already said that it intends offering a range as complete and customisable as the MINI, which will start at the bog-standard A1 and run the gamut through the electric A1 e-tron up through to the performance oriented Audi S1 (which Audi has already confirmed).

Ford Focus RS 500 teased +video

Fri, 26 Mar 2010

The Ford Focus RS 500 getting teased on Ford micro-site One of the best cars Ford has produced – ever – is the Focus RS. Yes, it’s OTT and designed for the Playstation generation rather than people past the first flush of youth, but it brings a huge grin to my face every time I drive one. The Focus RS review we did last year was a blast – especially the opportunity to compare the Focus RS to the Escort Mexico Mk I.

Renault/Lovegrove Studio Twin'Z concept

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

The Renault Twin'Z concept is a collaborative project with British designer Ross Lovegrove, filling the fifth stage in Laurens van den Acker's 'lifecycle' – Play. It's currently on display at the Milan Salone. Essentially previewing the all-new, rear-engined Twingo co-developed with Daimler, the Twin'Z takes this relatively humble city car and, thanks to the input of Lovegrove, it appears to have taken on an organic nature, which shouldn't be unexpected to those familiar with his work.
