This is an OEM Smith's tachometer, RN 2301/03 for Austin-Healey BN4 from (c) 68960, BN6, BN7, BT7, BJ7. It is in overall excellent condition and in working order: the needle moves smoothly when attached to a drill. The glass is clear and unbroken. The interior sealing ring for the glass cover is pliable and without cracks. There is some modest pitting on perhaps one-quarter of the inner surface of the chrome bezel.

The prerequisite for winning was that the beauty of a vehicle would have to be determined solely through the medium of touch. NHTSA investigates Chevrolet Corvette headlamp failure
