Mecum achieves record-setting auction in Dallas with 1967 Corvette L88 convertible

Mecum is no stranger to hosting million-dollar auctions all over the United States. Their most recent event in Dallas put collector Buddy Herin's 1967 Corvette L88 Convertible in the spotlight, making it one of the most successful auctions in Mecum history. Pick-ups do poorly in latest Euro NCAP tests

Only three picks-ups were tested, but they achieved some appalling results, with the Nissan Navara registering just one star for adult crash protection. Pick-up registrations increased by 7.2 percent in Europe last year and are increasingly being used as family transport.

Hemi Coronet, Triumph 2000 and Bentley top sales at Novi auction

A 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 Hemi convertible was the top seller at the second annual Novi Metro Detroit Spring Classic Car Auction on April 27. It crossed the block, which was commandeered by Hagerty. A 1940 Ford V8 Deluxe convertible was second, selling for $37,800.
