Cars of the future could be powered by seawater
Fri, 18 Apr 2014Water from the sea could power cars of the future, if experiments currently being trialled by the US Navy prove to be successful. According to Jalopnik, the US Naval Research Laboratory is turning carbon dioxide from seawater into hydrogen, with the hope of fuelling its jets from alternative sources. It turned up Geneva, at Villa D’Este in the summer and the One-77 was also to be seen at Salon Prive in July where our leader spent time checking it out together with celebrity petrol-head JK. But it’s gone a bit quiet on the One-77 front lately as Aston Martin work to iron out the wrinkles before the One-77 starts to hit the roads in the Summer.
New options make Prius pricey

The 2010 Prius hybrid will offer options found on luxury cars: systems that automatically park the car in a parallel parking space and slow the vehicle when a crash is likely. But Toyota is aware of a new competitor--the 2010 Honda Insight, a hybrid that is a little smaller and expected to be less expensive than the Prius.
