Kiss and Mini team up to raise money for UNICEF
Thu, 21 Apr 2011To help fund global relief efforts, Mini will auction four Countrymans emblazoned with the makeup likeness and autographs of Kiss band members. Just in time for Father’s Day, the eBay charity auction opens on May 29 and runs for 10 days. Funds will go to UNICEF to help children in Japan and to aid in other global emergencies.
Rolls Royce 102EX: Electric Phantom revealed
Tue, 01 Mar 2011Electric Rolls Royce Phantom Rolls Royce has taken the wraps of its experimental electric Phantom at Geneva – Rolls Royce 102EX – and they certainly haven’t done things by halves. Rolls Royce engineers have taken the regular engine out of the Phantom and replaced it with a pair of electric motors rated at 145 kWh and possibly the biggest lithium-ion battery bank on four wheels. The Phantom EV uses five lithium-cobalt-manganese-oxide (or NCM) pouch cells which form the shape of the engine and live under the bonnet.

Wed, 27 Feb 2013'Faces of GM', one of General Motor's social media initiatives, has released its latest video featuring our recent collaborative contest, the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition. Starring several of the winning students as well as the prize-giving event at the Detroit auto show last month, the video features a number of judges and mentors including Mark Adams, executive director global Buick and Cadillac Design. GM and Car Design News's online contest aims to find the next generation of GM designers by presenting a challenge for students to tackle before being mentored on how to improve their designs.
