This our NEW Medium Weight Axle Truss! It is made for the cruiserweight axles out there like D44's, Ford 9", Ford 8.8's, Toyota  Mini's, Toyota Land Cruisers, Chrysler 8.25's and a whole bunch more. These are an evolved Truss, our previous trusses were plenty strong but with computer analysis we were able to determine this shape was stronger and also took up less space under the truck. They are still a full Torsion Box construction with the "Shell" made from folded .25" Plate and the "Liner" made from .25 plate also so there is no question as to the rigidity. While billed as a concept it is believed to be virtually production-ready. It offers little in the way of surprises in the wake of the F10 3 Series and larger 6 Series with traditional short front and long rear overhang proportions.

Now, Musk has made another disruptive move by announcing he is scrapping the firm's patents. In a blog post on the Tesla website, he wrote "[the patents] have been removed, in the spirit of the open source movement, for the advancement of electric vehicle technology.
