The EGR system operates by taking some of the exhaust gases and
sends it back into the motor. The hot exhaust gases are cooled by your engine
cooling system. The problem is that the coolant is heated up by trying to cool
the hot exhaust. This makes your engine operate at a higher temperature. By
eliminating the EGR and Cooler you are sending all your exhaust gases thru the
turbo and your coolant is now able to do the job it was intended for, cooling
the engine. Removing the EGR valve eliminates the chance of any blockages in the
system. Removing the EGR valve may set off a check engine light. You will need
to run a tuner to turn off the EGR system to eliminate the code/light. We have

BMW X3 gets a turbo four-cylinder
Thu, 16 Feb 2012BMW is expanding the use of its N20 turbocharged four-cylinder engine by making it the base powerplant for the 2013 X3 SUV. The X3 xDrive28 will use the twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Twin-scroll turbocharging means that the exhaust stream of cylinders one and four follow a separate path to the turbine wheel from cylinders two and three.

Mon, 13 Oct 2014It’ll be tough to extend the Jaguar XE Range in to an Estate & Coupe We’ve banged on for years about Jaguar extending their saloon car range (well, the XJ and XF as that’s all they had until the XE arrived) to coupes and estates, at the very least. We know, for example, that the Jaguar XJ Coupe has been on the drawing board for as long as the current XJ, but Jaguar has failed to build it. Similarly, there have been rumblings about an XF Coupe for years, but that has come to nought too, although Jaguar did finally manage to launch the XF Sportbrake Estate to extend the XF range a little.
