Up for sale:   Used M48 Laura Motoren motor from a 1978 Batavus moped. This engine was removed from a moped that had sat for the past year. Ran fine when parked. But being listed as a parts motor due to the fact that it was not running when removed. The carb was already missing when I received it. The motor does have compression and spark. I did get it to fire for a few seconds on starting fluid. I also checked and it had power coming out for the lighting as well. The motor is basically complete  (BUT IT COMES WITH NO CARB AND IS MISSING ONE OF THE BLACK PLASTIC SIDE COVERS, CLUTCH SIDE)  It does come with the intake, drive belt and the spark plug coil,  Some of the wiring harness is still hooked to the motor.  It also comes with both motor mount bolts and nuts. There is alot of good usable parts here. If you own one of these, this is a low cost way of getting alot of parts that you may need now or down the road.  This motor always ran fine, with no issues.  But has not ran for the last year. It a parts motor.  Would make a nice motor to rebuild for your rally ped or hang on to for a spare.  Please  look  closely  at  all the  pictures  above.  Listed  with  a  low  buy  now price.  Thanks    for    looking!!

Vauxhall Electric Urban Concept - another EV Go-Kart We’ve come to the conclusion that car makers now employ designers who were 10 years old in 1985. That’s the only explanation for the raft of Sinclair C5 ‘Homage’ cars arriving on the car scene. And the latest of these is an electric urban car concept from Vauxhall / Opel, which will arrive in Frankfurt next week.

Tue, 13 Mar 2012

Italian manufacturer Pagani has put together a 14-minute documentary tracking the development of its new Huayra supercar. The short film heads to the companies that help to make the carbon and titanium-bodied Huayra, such as Italian company ASPA that creates the car's logo for an entire day out of a solid block of aluminum. The finer points of the design and development of the 230 mph car are also explored, as well as detailing how Leonardo Da Vinci inspired Horacio Pagani's original design.
