The new third-generation MINI Hatch will be revealed at the British brand’s Oxford factory on the 18 November, ahead of a simultaneous showcase at the 2013 LA and Tokyo Motor Shows two days later. In a nice touch from the BMW-owned carmaker, the special unveiling event will be held 107 years to the day since creator of the original Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, was born. A STUNNING classic rally car with connections to three members of the McRae family is set for auction in February. The 1977 Ford Escort MK2 RS1800 Gp4 is, to many people, an icon of the golden age of rallying, and this example has huge provenance in its connections to Jimmy McRae and his two sons, the late Colin McRae and younger brother Alister. Prepared by specialists Prepfab Motorsport Engineering, the car was driven to victory by Jimmy McRae in the 2006 Roger Albert Clark rally.

Ferrari start to tease the new F620 GT Ferrari is teasing the replacement for the 599 – probably the Ferrari F620 GT – with a video tease. Debuts 29th February. We’ve known for a while that the replacement for the Ferrari 599 – which looks like it will be the Ferrari F620 or F620 GT – is on its way and due to have its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
