Changan opens new European Designing Center in Turin
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Changan celebrated the opening of its European Designing Center in Turin, Italy, last week as part of its celebration of the historic company's 150th anniversary. An audience of VIP guests and press were given grand tour of the new facility located in Rivoli near Turin after an opening ceremony filled with the pomp and pageantry we've come to expect from the Chinese car industry. The new 11,000 square meter European Designing Center is Changan's latest move to grow its business globally, having already established research and development centers at five Chinese locations as well as in Detroit USA, Nottingham UK, and Yokohama Japan.
Future products: Ownership change may revive 2 small Porsches
Wed, 22 Sep 2010Now that it's owned by Volkswagen, Porsche reportedly is planning two small vehicles that the German sports car maker's previous management had nixed. Porsche is expected to increase the size of its Boxster roadster, leaving room at the bottom of the range for a smaller midengine car engineered jointly with Volkswagen. A small SUV also is likely to be added.

We’d heard rumours – all revolving round a Shooting Brake Concept – but it was still a bit of a surprise to see the reality that is the Ferrari FF. Ferrari seem intent on pushing theĀ boundariesĀ of what is an ‘acceptable’, and according to much of what’s been commented on the Interweb after Ferrari revealed the FF yesterday, they may have gone a step further than many would like.
