CCS/GM E-Flex project

Cadillac V-Flex Evan Mai Evan Mai presented the Cadillac V-Flex, a mid-engine electric race car that uses GM's E-Flex platform in a new configuration and advances Cadillac's art & science design language.  The race inspired proportion and layout of the V-Flex draws heavily from Le Mans prototype and F1 cars. Power would come from an electric motor with a range extending internal combustion engine. The Li-ion battery placed in the bottom center of the vehicle could be swapped from underneath the car during pit stops. Aluminum heat sinks in the rear efficiently dissipate heat away from the motor and battery while performing as a rear spoiler.  The front grille serves to communicate the Cadillac design philosophy and also serves as a functional aerodynamic enhancement.

Earlier this evening, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered together at the Moon13 club in Frankfurt to watch sponsors Ford and Volkswagen reveal the 2013 Interior Motives Student Design of the Year: ‘Audi O Concept' by Nir Siegel, Cherica Haye and Hanchul Lee of London's Royal College of Art. Launched in January of this year and themed ‘The Connected Car', this year's contest attracted hundreds of entries from students spread across every corner of the globe. Jaguar XF Sportbrake Price & Model lineup plus new XF engine options

The Jaguar XF Sportbrake will cost from £31,940 and the XF saloon will  get the new V6 Supercharged 3.0 litre engine for 2013. It’s taken quite a while to get a Jaguar XF Sportbrake price from Jaguar’s bean counters, but they’ve finally decided the entry price for an XF Estate will be the XF Sportbrake 2.2 Diesel SE Business at £31,940, rising to £51,505 for the XF Sportbrake 3.0 Diesel S Portfolio – a premium of around £2.5k for the shed on the back. The XF Sportbrake gets a choice of two versions of the new 2.2 diesel – a 163PS and 200PS (which takes the place of the original 190PS version) – and two versions of the 3.0 litre diesel – 240PS and 275PS – all of which will also be offered in the 2013 XF saloon.
