Range Rover Hybrid LWB debuts in Beijing

The Range Rover Hybrid now comes with added length We’ve already seen the Range Rover Hybrid and the LWB Range Rover, but now we get the two together with the debut of the Range Rover Hybrid LWB at the Beijing Motor Show. Just like the normal Rangie Hybrid, the LWB version comes with a 3.0 litre diesel engine coupled to an electric motor with an extra 47bhp making a total of 345bhp. Fisker to buy former GM Solstice/Sky plant in Delaware for $18 million

The old General Motors plant in Delaware that until July cranked out sports cars for Pontiac, Saturn and Opel will be sold and retooled to build plug-in hybrids with UAW workers. Fisker Automotive said Tuesday that it will buy the plant, located in Wilmington, Del., from Motors Liquidation Co.--the old General Motors Corp.--for $18 million. If Fisker's plans come to fruition, production at the plant could start in late 2012.

It transpires that Land Rover are trying to control the supply of the Evoque to businesses and individuals who may sell it on or export it, but their weapon of choice seems to be a bit blunt. So far, after just a few phone calls, we’re aware of over 50 Evoques where Land Rover has either cancelled the order or refused to release the car.
