I bought this last year when my old Cessna ARC transponder finally died. However then I bought a Avidyne IFD540 and only the Avidyne transponder will work with it so I had to buy that transponder. Comes with tray, connectors and installation kit (Trig stuff, but Trig made both the King and Avidyne unit). Here is the promotional text for the product: If a new transponder is on your "to-get" list, you might want to choose one that's both relevant now and in the future. The KT 74 transponder from Bendix/King is the easiest upgrade to the popular KT 76A/C and KT 78A models, with a 'plug and go' capacity. And it's ADS-B compliant, therefore meeting all 2020 requirements. It is low-cost, easy to install and fits into your existing panel. Suiting your needs now and in the future. KT 74 ADVANTAGE

Senate committee sends auto-safety bill to the floor for vote
Thu, 10 Jun 2010The Senate Commerce Committee voted today to pass a far-reaching vehicle safety bill that has largely won both automaker and consumer support, sending the measure to the full Senate. The bill passed without objections from any senators. The legislation, crafted in the wake of Toyota's safety recalls this year, resembles a House bill that also is now on the floor of that chamber.
