Mini mufflers slip fit over the open ends on 1.75" O.D. custom pipes with a minimum of 11/8" of straight tube at the end Custom tapered and TIG welded 16-gauge steel canister with 1.76” I.D. slip joint end TIG welded, stamped steel hanger bracket with Biltwell anvil marking on the back of the mini muffler canisters provides a place to mount a bracket for custom installations Gold zinc plated 16-gauge perforated steel baffle tube with stamped and TIG welded end caps Fiberglass packing around removable internal baffle assembly provides additional sound muffling and inhibits sparks Mufflers can be secured on the exhaust tube ends with any standard P-clamps (not included) constructed for this purpose Sold each NOTE: If the current straight pipes feature a removable baffle inside the tube end, it may be necessary to remove the baffle and associated mounting hardware to facilitate slip fitment of the Biltwell mini muffler over the tube end.

In early 2013 Audi lost a case brought by the Advertising Standard Agency (ASA) because of ‘misleading’ fuel economy figures used in an advert, after a customer complained they couldn’t get anywhere near the 68mpg quoted. The court case once more exposes the yawning gap between officially sanctioned mpg figures and those experienced by owners. A recent study by the Independent Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) looked at cars sold in the UK and Europe, and discovered the difference between official mpg figures and real-world driving had grown from 8% in 2001 to a barely believable 21% in 2011.
