Future products: Ownership change may revive 2 small Porsches

Now that it's owned by Volkswagen, Porsche reportedly is planning two small vehicles that the German sports car maker's previous management had nixed. Porsche is expected to increase the size of its Boxster roadster, leaving room at the bottom of the range for a smaller midengine car engineered jointly with Volkswagen. A small SUV also is likely to be added.

Caterham Superlight R600 debuts for 2013 race series

Filed under: “Too cool for the United States.” Caterham launched the fastest Seven in company history for its exclusive race series, the Superlight R600 Championship. The latest Seven is powered by a supercharged 2-liter Ford Duratec engine that churns out 275 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. That power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox and a Titan limited-slip differential.

New Jeep Cherokee: New York Auto Show 2013

The new Jeep Cherokee has its official public debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show today with 9-speed gearbox and based on a  Fiat platform. The new Cherokee sits on the Chrysler/Fiat Compact US Wide platform which gets independent front and rear suspension which, say Jeep, offers great on-road dynamics without sacrificing off-road ability and comes with a 9-speed auto box and a choice – at least in the US – of 184bhp 2.4 litre 4-cylinder or 271bhp 3.2 litre Pentastar V6.
