The "J" designation was originally given to the 682 variation that did not carry the parking light shell. These were marked under both, The Guide and BLC trade names. By popular request OTB Gear has added the J line. just as the C variation they have made a number of improvements to the original product. Also, as per the original, they offer this headlight with two types of trim rings, chrome plated and prime painted.

*As in the 1940's, a name plate, or badge is provided. This badge is exactly the same size as the original. It is struck in solid brass and plated with nickel. The hardware is a custom stainless screw that simulates a rivet. This is shipped unmounted, to be installed after painting the headlight.

*The flange can be installed inside or outside of the headlight housing - secured by 4 stainless button head screws. Mount it outside for an old school look, or inside for a clean appearance. The original flange was riveted to the outside of the housing, like it or not.

*You can wire thru the hollow mounting bolt, or thru the underside conduit hole - your choice. The original had a solid mounting bolt.

*Every component on this headlight is interchangeable with an original - all OTB Gear did was make them better ....

*Assembled in California with fanatical care - you can spend less for a headlight, but you can't buy better!

*The 682-J accommodates the common 7" sealed beam lamp (not included)

YOU MUST CHOSE CHROME OR PRIMED TRIM RING

Biker attempts to beat London marathon record... in traffic

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

AS BRITISH favourite Mo Farah prepares to challenge the British record at the London Marathon this weekend, an enterprising biker has decided to try it himself – in the thick of London traffic. On closed roads a man vs machine race would be a bit one-sided, but with the average speed of a fast marathon runner being 12.43mph and the average speed of a motorbike in London traffic being 12.5mph, the result turned out not to be so clear-cut – the biker missing out on the record by a full five minutes. Using the same BMW F800GS Adventure as is loaned to the marathon organisers, Michael Mann of online community Bike Social followed the route as closely as possible, albeit with a few extra loops where the runners will take advantage of closed one-way streets.

A final price for the U.S.

Ford to launch 25 new models in Europe in next 5 years

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

The new Ford S-mAx (pictured) is just one of 25 new Fords heading for Europe Ford of Europe has had a miserable time of late, with the European market in disarray as the Eurozone crisis continues to rumble and car buyers on the continent shy away from big ticket purchases. But, just as they did in the US, Ford are making plans to cash-in when the Eurozone economy improves in the coming years (not that that’s an absolute given) and are going to ready with a raft of new models to tempt mainstream buyers when economies start to grow and car finance becomes a realistic option for more once again. Barb Samardzich, Ford’s head of product development in Europe, says Ford are planning to make their portfolio of products the best ever in anticipation of a recovery, with a huge 25 new models launching over the next five years, and they will be additions to the Ford line-up or new generations, not variants.
