2013 Ford Fusion sedan to have stop/start technology as an optionMon, 02 Apr 2012
The redesigned 2013 Ford Fusion will help you save gasoline when stuck in traffic.
The new Fusion's 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine can be fitted with stop/start technology. The cost? Just $295.
The engine's direct fuel-injection system helps make this possible. Stop/start Fusions also get a beefed up battery and starter motor to handle the demands of more frequent starts.
Also, the Fusion's software is changed so that it keeps track of the cabin temperature. If it gets too warm inside, the engine won't shut down, so you don't lose your cool.
