2013 Honda Civic Ti Limited Edition

Wed, 19 Sep 2012

Honda has released a limited edition version of the latest Honda Civic – the Civic Ti – with sporty cosmetic tweaks.

Honda wants us to think of the Civic Ti as a ‘Sporty’ Civic – despite no changes to the power or chassis – so they’ve bolted a set of ‘Le Mans’ Alloys from Team Dynamics on to the new Civic Ti – the same suppliers that give Honda wheels for their BTCC cars.

As well as the alloys, the Civic Ti gets colour coded wheel arches, a leather steering wheel and gear knob and stuff from the Civic 1.8 litre i-VTEC SE on which it’s based including Climate, AUX and USB, steering wheel controls for audio and electric windows.

The 2013 Honda Civic Ti costs from £16,995 with £1,000 worth of extras over and above the 1.8 SE on which it’s based. Yet the Civic 1.8 SE costs from £18,170, which means the new Civic Ti is £2,175 cheaper than a similarly equipped 1.8 SE – exactly the same trick Honda pulled with the last Civic Ti.

So it’s no surprise the 500 run of the last Civic Ti sold out in quick sticks, and despite there being 1,000 Tis on offer this time it seems likely the same will happen again.
