Fri, 01 Nov 2013

The 2014 Honda Accord hybrid goes on sale today, with a base price of $29,905, including destination. The EX-L model goes for $32,695, and the top Touring model will sell for $35,695.

All versions of the hybrid get Honda’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine with a two-motor hybrid system. Total system output is 196 hp and 226 lb-ft of torque. Mileage is rated at 50 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. Honda says the system transitions seamlessly between electric and gas, “without the need for a conventional transmission.” So, enjoy your CVT.

The Accord hybrid comes equipped from the factory with LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, Honda Lane Watch and rearview camera, 10-way power driver’s seat, heated side mirrors and 17-inch wheels.

The EX-L model adds leather seats, heated front seats with memory, a premium audio system and power moonroof. The range topper gets navigation, LED headlights and adaptive cruise control.

For reference, the non-hybrid Accord sedan starts at $22,785 and tops out at $34,270.
