2015 Subaru Legacy Concept to debut at LA Auto Show

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Subaru introduced the Legacy Concept for the Los Angeles Auto Show on Thursday. The concept sedan celebrates the 25th anniversary of the vehicle, and Subaru says it previews styling for future models.

The Legacy Concept is swathed in a color called Ocean Silver Metallic and features a coupe-like roofline. Flared wheel arches add visual width to the design, while updated headlights and taillights bring the style.

The concept doesn’t look so futuristic that it would have to change greatly to be ready for production. The fog lights and mirrors might not be totally set for production, but other than that, not too much else needs to be changed.

The “hawkeye” design on the headlights carries around to the rear, but from a distance we think it looks a bit like the new Camry or Corolla. The profile reminds us of the new Sonata with its sweeping roofline, but that’s less paying homage and more of a this-is-where-everyone’s-going move.

Like the 2015 WRX we saw Wednesday, we hope this new car stays true to these pictures. We’ll see more at the LA show in a few weeks.
