AC Schnitzer upgrades BMW M6 line

Tue, 09 Jul 2013

AC Schnitzer has a new performance package for the BMW M6 coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe. In addition to engine upgrades, the tuning company adds suspension pieces, bodywork, interior bits and a choice of 20- or 21-inch wheels.

Output is up from 560 hp to 620 hp, while torque grows to 582 lb-ft. Top speed is 190 mph.

After boosting the engine power, Schnitzer adds a house-built exhaust system with chrome tailpipes, with or without those little valve deals that open up exhaust systems for more sound. A suspension kit lowers the M6 by about an inch in the rear and a half-inch in front, making it look even more aggressive.

Aero parts include a carbon front spoiler, chrome grille, AC Schnitzer hood vents, carbon rear diffuser, rear spoiler for the M6 coupe and rear skirt protection film.

Inside AC Schnitzer installs an aluminum cover for the i-Drive controller, a “Black Line” AC Schnitzer aluminum foot rest and pedals and AC Schnitzer floor mats. Five wheel choices are also offered.

We have a call into Schnitzer on pricing, but we’d bet the new package will cost a mint, on top of the $101,205 price of the BMW M6.
