Amelia Island auction wrap-up

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

With everything that happened last weekend in Amelia Island, attendees could be forgiven for missing the auctions. Attendees could be forgiven, but a failure by Autoweek to bring those hot, hot auction numbers to you, the readers of Well, that would be unforgiveable -- especially when Hagerty has people watching every single car cross the block, and then compiling all the results.

RM Auctions and Gooding & Co. combined to sell $54 million worth of cars and automobilia. The two earned $59 million between them last year, but for 2013 there were 33 fewer lots.

RM's sale accounted for $26 million of the total, where Gooding's brought $28.1 million. The top-10 lots, as reported by Hagerty, are listed below. For full results from RM, click here. For Gooding, click here.
