Aston Martin V12 Zagato: First production car photos

Sat, 04 Feb 2012

Ahead of a debut in Kuwait in two weeks, we have the first official photos – interior and exterior – of the production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato.

So far we’ve had just one outside picture of the production version of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, and we know that it will make its production debut at the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance on 15th February. But now we’ve got more pictures.

Aston Martin has quietly published a PDF on the V12 Zagato (link to Aston Martin V12 Zagato PDF) which gives us some of the history behind the development of the V12 Zagato, tells us how it’s made (with craftsmen and hammers) and, for the first time, gives us a look at bothy the inside and outside of the new Zagato.

The V12 Zagato may have no more power than the regular V12 Vantage, but the cosmetic changes wrought by Aston Martin and Zagato certainly make it look more individual.

We’ve already seen the basic overall changes on the exterior on the V12 Zagato we saw at Villa D’Este last year, but for the first time we see the changes to the inside. We’ve got a couple of interior photos, images of the paint options on the Zagato and a look at the instruments.

Aston Martin say of the V12 Zagato:

The V12 Zagato is elegant but brutal which reflects the great balance between race performance and pure Aston Martin design. The original dB4GT Zagato was a true icon, powerful and graceful; the new design is a fusion of unique and original features and is a true representation of the spirit of the dB4GT Zagato. For us it is a forward thinking Zagato which pays its respect to the past.

And, thanks to the skill of the craftsmen at CPP, it looks stunning too.
