The Chevrolet Volt went low voltage as the factory prepares to suspend production for five weeks in March. The move is designed to reduce inventory of the hybrid sedan.

There was plenty of buzz about car reveals leading up to the Geneva motor show. Yet many of those cars will not be coming to the United States. One that might make it here is the Ford Fiesta ST, cleared for Europe in 2013. With a turbocharged four-cylinder and standard Recaro seats, we say bring it on.

Ford took the title of the most fuel-efficient five-passenger vehicle as the all-electric Focus EV has a per-gallon equivalent of 105 mpg. The Focus EV takes only four hours to charge on a 240-volt connection and is estimated to save the average driver almost $10,000 in fuel costs over five years.Look for the Ford Focus EV to appear in 19 markets by the end of 2012.

The 2012 EyesOn Design event has voted to give controversial designer Chris Bangle its Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Bangle was the first American to become the chief of design for BMW. He also has worked with Opel and Fiat. The event occurs in June around metro Detroit.

Looking forward to that new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 you ordered? Well, you'll be waiting a bit longer. Chevrolet has halted all deliveries for an “undisclosed issue.” Currently there is no time frame as to when the orders will be filled.
