Book Review: Lowrider Coloring Book

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

News of the Lowrider Coloring Book, published by Sweden's Dokument Press and Illustrated by Oscar Nilsson, has been making the rounds on the web for quite a while. But since it's just about time for us to start shopping for holiday gifts, we thought we'd share it with our readers. Also, it's awesome.

The book is much heavier than you'd expect from a coloring book, with a glossy perfect-bound cover and 32 different lowriders on thick, high-quality pages.

The cars represented span the history of the lowrider movement from the 1930s to the 1990s. Each illustration is lovingly rendered and highly detailed, and it's plain to see that Nilsson loves these cars. In fact, he loves them enough to have traveled from his native Sweden to Los Angeles to purchase his own Impala.

At under $10, it's a great gift for car lovers of any age. It's available here.
