CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition 2014 now open!

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

Car Design News and General Motors are pleased to announce the 2014 edition of the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition is now open for entry.

This is the fourth running of the contest that challenges the design students of North America to create GM's future, with the guidance of professional designers and fellow students.

Up for grabs are six, three-month paid internships that offer the chance to work alongside GM's design teams at the world-famous Tech Center in Warren, MI.

Alongside briefs set by Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC, this year's CDN-GM Interactive competition features a new, fifth brief called Sculpting. This challenges entrants to use either digital or physical modeling to capture form vocabulary and the chance to intern alongside GM's master model makers.

Winners will be announced at the NAIAS in Detroit, in January 2015.

The competition is open to full-time design students of all disciplines, in a college or university in the USA or Canada and who have at least one more semester to complete after the 2015 summer internship ends.

Head over to the new CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition website for full details. Good luck!
