Citroën DS3 Ultra Prestige

The Citroën DS3 Ultra Prestige has been revealed with a host of luxury extras and a choice of petrol or diesel engines.

If you want a properly good little car, there is nothing much better on the market than the Citroen Ds3. It looks good, it’s great to drive and it’s help make Citroen’s seemingly cynical revival of the DS badge an unmitigated success.

But, as MINI knows, there is nothing better than churning out special editions to keep buyers interested, so Citroen has come up with a range-topping luxury version of the DS3 – the Citroen DS3 Ultra Prestige.

With a choice of either the THP 144 petrol engine or the e-HDI 110 diesel lump with stop-start, the DS3 Ultra Prestige concentrates on the sybaritic rather than the performance (there may be a clue in the name). That means a big spec and lots of ‘design’ to create a DS3 with a more glamorous edge.

The front seats get a watchstrap flavour (like the DS5) and come bound in higher quality leather which has a ‘Crescendo’ colour effect where the colour flows from white at the top to black at the bottom. The dash trim is white leather with an embossed ‘DS’ and there are chunky mats, white dials and leather trim on the doors.

Based on DSport trim – which already has stuff like Climate and Bluetooth, the DS3 Ultra Prestige throws in MyWay SatNav, parking sensors, auto lights and wipers and heated/folding door mirrors.

Outside, the DS3 Ultra Prestige comes in a choice of either Polar White or Thorium Grey and gets 17″ alloys, privacy glass, spoiler and an ‘Ultra Prestige’ roof graphic that changes colour in the light.

Both the Citroen DS3 Ultra Prestige DS3 THP 155 (£20,700) and the DS3 e-HDi 110 Airdream Ultra Prestige are now up from grabs.
