GM's Bob Lutz to take questions online at 2 p.m.

Mon, 13 Jul 2009

He's back--and he's definitely returning to his high-profile self.

General Motors' freshly minted creative honcho Bob Lutz is playing host to a Web chat from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time on Monday.

To check it out, go to fastlane.gmblogs.com.

Lutz is GM vice chairman--formerly in charge of products--and now head of all things creative. That includes marketing, advertising and communications.

Lutz will work with his successor as head of products, vice chairman Tom Stephens, and design boss Ed Welburn, as GM looks to remake its image and car lineup now that the automaker has emerged from bankruptcy.

A likely topic of discussion--the Pontiac G8. Reports have circulated today, including in Automotive News, that GM will continue the performance-oriented, rear-drive sedan as the Chevrolet Caprice.

And for more GM talk, come back to autoweek.com this week for a podcast with Stephens, who is dropping by our new studios for a chat. The chat also will be available on our national radio show at 10 p.m. next Saturday.
