Go racing... on a Segway

FORGET supercars burning rubber around a circuit – a track-day organiser is now offering off-road driving experiences on Segways.

Volunteers can take to a specially-designed rally course on one of the self-balancing upright scooters, after being given some basic instruction in how not to fall off.

Organisers TrackDays.co.uk said in a press release: “Driving the Segway is easier than it looks. With some expert tuition on simple driving techniques, guest drivers will soon be zipping along the specially designed Segway rally courses.”

Nonetheless, riders will get fully kitted-out in safety gear before hitting the track for what promises to be great fun, or as the website puts it, a ‘majestic glide through the countryside.’

Segway rallies can be booked at the website, where the brave or serially safety-averse can choose from a selection of even more extreme track-day experiences.
