Hyundai plays chauffeur to Inspirational Women

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Hyundai has been busy chauffeuring the inspirational women in Tesco’s Mum of the Year in a fleet of i40s and new Santa Fes.

We all know by now that Hyundai UK PR has a penchant for ‘Girl Power’, which explains why we’ve had Hyundai out playing with the Storm Model Agency and getting cosy with Harrods.

Now, in the next instalment in their  ’Girls are dong it for themselves’ PR campaign, Hyundai has been busy chauffeuring the inspirational women from Tesco’s ‘Mum of the Year’ award around London, popping from the Savoy to Downing street for a bit of high-profile PR and photo opportunity, with celebs like Mel C, Denise Van Outen and Emma Forbes roped in for good measure.

Hyundai organised a fleet of new Santa Fes to pick up the award winners and ferry them off to the Savoy for the Mum of the Year event and the following day - after they’d recovered from their hangovers – they were back in the Santa Fes to pop off to Downing Street to meet David Cameron.

Sensibly, Hyundai roped in their UK boss (a man, would you believe?) to comment on the outing. Tony Whitehorn said:

It has been an honour to support this celebration of inspirational women who make huge differences to the lives of others.  We hope that our new Santa Fes played a small part in making it truly a weekend to remember for all of the winners.

It would be remiss of us not to publish the names of the winners in Tesco’s Mum of the Year, which were:

All very worthy winners, we have no doubt, and a good outing for Hyundai. But perhaps it’s time for a bit of man-centric PR from Hyundai?

Suggestions in the comments please.
