Jaguar C-X16 concept

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Jaguar has released details of its C-X16 concept, due to be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show.

The C-X16, a sporty two-seater hybrid, is designed to indicate the future direction of Jaguar's design, engineering and technological intent. The car is the smallest Jaguar in terms of length since the XK-120 from 1954.

The cabin is trimmed in red leather and Suedecloth with the main touch surfaces composed of a combination of anodised aluminium, black, dark chrome and carbon-fibre with it also featuring a new-generation touch screen.

"This car has been designed from first principles, says Ian Callum, director of design at Jaguar. "It is an evolution of the design ethos of past Jaguars and defines the agenda for a future of dramatic, innovative sports cars."
