Mansory Porsche Panamera Turbo. Pass the Sick Bag.

The Mansory Porsche Panamera Turbo

Mansory has a habit of producing cars that polarize opinion. No, it’s actually worse than that. They produce cars which make it impossible to work out if they have any taste whatsoever. They can make a work of art like the Mansory Cyrus, an Aston Martin DB9 reworked in carbon fibre (which we ought not to like – but do) and then make a monstrosity like the Mansory Rolls Royce Ghost which couldn’t appeal unless you had the cataracts of a 120 year old.

So it was something of a pleasant surprise when Mansory sent us renderings of the Mansory Panamera Turbo back in October as it looked like the same guy who did the Mansory DB9 was back on the case, and a fine job was being made of Porsche’s fastest four seater.

But somewhere between renderings and production it appears that Mansory have ditched the guy who did the Mansory DB9 and have instead used the guy who did the Mansory RR Ghost, only this time they told him to experiment.

Now we know that Middle Eastern taste in cars is rather more flamboyant than in the West. And it’s our differences that make life interesting. But come on. I’ve yet to meet anyone from the Gulf who would be seen dead in something this appalling. It is just plain horrible. And we haven’t even shown you the inside. That makes the exterior look almost tasteful. It looks like the contents of a sick bag after a night binging on Blue Curacao and custard.

And the fact it has 690 horses under the bonnet does nothing to make it more appealing.
