Yesterday saw the official reveal of the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, ahead of its debut in April at the New York Motor Show. And we may have seemed a tad dismissive. Which wasn’t the intention.

Maybe it was because it was Sunday or maybe because we’ve seen a lot of Mercedes C-Class stuff of late. But it certainly wasn’t because we think the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe is a bad car. In fact, we think it’s potentially a properly brilliant car.

And not just the AMG Coupe either; the whole C-Class range is now better than it’s ever been and – dare we say it – as good as the BMW 3-Series. And the C63 AMG Coupe really looks like it could make the M3 seem second best. Now there’s a thought.

So we thought we’d try and make amends for our apparent lack of enthusiasm yesterday by bringing you video of the C63 AMG Coupe. It’s not a technical tour de force, more a glitzy marketing VT of beautiful people with beautiful things in beautiful locations.

Still worth the watch, though. And it sounds good.
