Mitsubishi Outlander Facelift (2010) – UK gets Outlander Juro

The Mitsubishi Outlander Juro

The Mitsubishi Outlander has been with us since 2005 and a facelift has been coming ever since Mitsubishi showed the Outlander GT Concept at the New York Motor Show around this time last year. Australia managed to get the Outlander facelift back in September, but it’s taken until now for the UK to get up to date.

And even now Mitsubishi aren’t exactly offering the facelifted Outlander for immediate delivery. First up is the limited edition Outlander Juro which will be available from July, but we’ll have to wait until October to get the regular Outlander with the 2010 updates.

Moans aside, the Outlander – and its cousins the Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C Crosser – are a pretty decent buy. Loads of room – even if the boot seats are tiny – good-driving and well equipped they are a better than half decent buy. The facelift gives a new family nose and a couple of body tweaks, some fake leather on the dash and an LCD on the instrument display, a twin clutch SST ‘box (which will suit the Outlander) and Hill Start Assist.

All the 2010 tweaks to the Outlander will be available on the Limited Edition Outlander Juro, which is the first of the new Outlander models to be available in the UK. The Juro is based on the Warrior spec and gets leather seats, 18″ alloys, privacy glass and metallic paint in a choice of Tanzanite Blue, Amethyst Black or cool silver. The Outlander 2.2 DI-D Juro Manual comes in at £25,999 and the auto at £27,199.

The rest of the range – Equippe, Warrior and Elegance – goes on sale in October and all get the same 2.2 litre diesel as the Juro.

Which means the UK will finally get the facelifted Mitsubishi Outlander more than a year after the Antipodes.
