N.A.R.T. racers will highlight the Fall Ferrari Festival in New York

Tue, 18 Aug 2009

A selection of famous race cars from Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team will headline the Fall Ferrari Festival in upstate New York.

The spotlight car will be the 1965 N.A.R.T. 250LM, the last Ferrari to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The event will be Sept. 10-12 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Sam Posey and the 512M that he drove with Tony Adamowicz to third place at Le Mans in 1971 will appear, as will Luigi Chinetti Jr. and the Daytona Competizione Coupe he drove to fifth place with Bob Grossman in that race.

AutoWeek columnist Denise McCluggage and the 275GTB/4 N.A.R.T. Spyder that she drove with Pinkie Rollo at Sebring in 1967 will also be at the event.

Posey, Chinetti Jr. and McCluggage will participate in a panel discussion on Sept. 12.

Also on the agenda for the event: a N.A.R.T seminar, a Ferrari tour through the Adirondacks and a wine and food festival. Selections from more than 250 wineries, including Pininfarina, will be offered. Ferrari North America also will show a display of the company's current lineup.
