Wed, 12 Mar 2014

Fresh from its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Citroen has revealed that prices for its new C1 city car will start from £8,245 when it goes on sale in July.

For that price, buyers will get the entry-level C1 Touch with the 1.0-litre VTi, 68hp engine. Touch is the lead-in trim level and includes remote central locking, electric front windows, six airbags, an MP3 compatible audio system, a USB socket and LED daytime running lights.

Spend an extra £1,250 and the C1 Feel adds air conditioning, a DAB digital radio, a 7-inch touchscreen display, steering wheel controls and body-coloured door mirrors and handles. Both these models are three-doors, but the C1 Feel is also available as a five-door for an extra £400.

Next up is the C1 Flair, which boasts 15-inch alloy wheels, speed limiter, rev counter, reversing camera, electrically heated door mirrors, a leather steering wheel and dark tinted windows. Prices for the Flair start at £10,185.

In fact, the most you’ll pay for a new C1 – without adding any options – is £11,785. For this, you’ll get the top trim five-door C1 Flair with the 82hp 1.2-litre VTi engine, complete with the new Airscape convertible roof.

Eight body colours will be available, including four metallic options, plus three wheel designs and four interior finishes. The Airscape fabric roof will be offered in black, grey or sunrise red.

Optional extras include automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights, keyless entry and start, black leather and various interior colour packs.
