Nissan X-Trail N-TEC+ launchedWed, 03 Oct 2012
Nissan has launched a new X-Trail model – the X-Trail N-Tec+ – with ‘Sporty’ looks and extra gadgets.
Last year we got the Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition with all the options ticked and a price of almost £30k, and now we get the sporty version – the Nissan X-Trail N-Tec+ – with more gadgets and extra kit at £27,790.
Nissan are trumpeting the X-Trail N-Tec+ as the ‘Sporty’ X-Trail (if that’s not an oxymoron) and pitching it between the Acenta and Tekna versions.
We’re not entirely sure the X-Trail N-Tec+ plus is exactly sporty, but Nissan has thrown in a set of 18″ alloys, added side bars with side steps and chromed the front fog light surrounds in an effort to make the X-Trail a bit more blingy.
Standard equipment for the N-Tec+ includes a 5″ touchscreen SatNav with Bluetooth and music streaming, Around View Monitor (parking cameras), Panoramic roof, Keyless, Climate, Cruise, privacy glass and auto lights and wipers.
Under the bonnet sits the regular 2.0 litre dCi turbodiesel churning out 173 PS and 360NM of torque, but it doesn’t get a ‘sporty’ makeover to go with the cosmetic tweaks so it still takes 10 seconds to get to 62mph and won’t frighten the horses.
The Nissan X-Trail N-Tec+ is now on sale from £27,790.
